We bring to light the richness of American culture through the voices of its artists and safeguard it as a lasting legacy.
Background
We are Neworld Multimedia Network, a creative team led by founders Paul Linzy Johnson and Sasha Hohri. With suggestions from our friend and mentor, editor and journalist, Fred Beauford, we set out to build a living record of artistic, cultural, and social change. From the start, our work has spanned magazines, books, television, film, and radio—often recognized for both storytelling and design.
We launched Neworld magazine, known for bold stories and striking layouts that champion multicultural arts. Our footprint grew to include the internet television platform NeworldTv.com, the radio station NeworldGlobalRadio.com, and the neighborhood e-zine EastBway.com.
Our award-winning documentary film "Whitemare" is part of a broader film and media slate. We are developing additional documentaries and stage plays in collaboration with producers and funders.
In addition, Paul Linzy Johnson has a series of biographical novels based on his experience growing up in the Bronx and Manhattan. The first Somebody’s Child is published; the next, To Protect and Serve, is forthcoming.
